PROACTION - Best Practices

Highlighting Web Site Enhancements

May 9, 2007

Greetings!

The regular PROACTION Best Practice Newsletters, published approximately twice a month, feature content and links to information that we believe, or hope you will find valuable in your efforts to create more success in your business and your professional career.

This special email is to announce and highlight changes we have made that we believe you will find to be of interest and valuable to you, and that might otherwise be overlooked.

Often we are so busy working that we believe we don't have time to plan or pay attention to improvements. Of course, this is inevitably is a mistake.

We have devoted considerable effort to enhancing the web site with the goal of moving it closer to something like a web "portal" - a source of information about Best Practices, both process and content. The result now is a considerable body of information that we hope you will find useful.

Changes include:

  • Organization - everything is now organized into areas of interest, such as Marketing & Sales or Business Process Management - to make it easier and quicker to find items you may be interested in. The categories include:
    - Best Practices - Essential Factors
    - Lean / 6 Sigma
    - Marketing & Sales
    - Production & Inventory
    - Enterprise Systems
    - Business Process Management

  • Best Practice Page - this has been revised to be more concise and readable, and to link information together so you can drill down into what you are most interested in.

  • Best Practice Professional Services - we have assembled a team of seasoned, top professionals in each area to support your efforts. The Best Practices page shows clearly in each area how a PROACTION project can provide right-now support to jump-start your improvement program and move powerfully along the path to sustained high performance.

  • Free White Papers and Articles - completely revised; dozens of new articles added; clear links to related, purchasable items.

  • Best Practice Publications - in addition to the presentations, books and booklets by PROACTION authors, we have added a considerable library of books on various topics that we believe you will find relevant to your question for excellence.
Limited Time! - Reduced Prices - for a limited time, we have drastically reduced prices for PROACTION-authored materials - starting at just $10! Don't wait until the next full moon or other event - look now, strengthen your team with top quality education materials.

  • Podcast/Audio Shows - more have been added so if you are time-challenged for reading, you can still learn about topics of interest.

  • Courses - the sample pages and explanations have been revised to make them easier to see what is in the course material, and what the benefits to those taking the course are.

  • Resources & Links - we have enhanced this section also, with more links to other web sites.

  • RSS - since new content is added regularly, you can add any of a number of RSS feeds to save time opening email, as new articles appear automatically in the home page of your choice and design.

  • Best Practices Blog - the relatively new Best Practices Blog provides a forum for discussion about the issues and items that concern you most.

  • Multi- lingual / Translations - a really cool feature we have added is a Translation function that can translate any page, article, comment/posts, etc. on any page on the Blog. It is startling to see the page appear, quickly, in another language. In the languages we know about, the translations are pretty good. Try it out if you are a native speaker of a language other than English.

  • Home Page - revised for improved focus, clarity of message to enable you to get to what you are interested in more quickly.

  • News and Events - if you are in the San Diego area, we invite you to attend on June 20th, when we will be speaking on China & Best Practices - Reality or Myth? Key topics include lesser-known facts about China, how political factors influence business, Chinese business practices vs. best practices, and key steps to insure success with China-based production.

We would also like to ask for your feedback as to what improvements you might like to see in the PROACTION Best Practices newsletter or web site.

In closing we would also like to invite your call - we would like to do business with you. Call us to discuss your business situation, difficulties or "un-worked" opportunities that you are not now taking advantage of, such as:

  • Business is good but we are not able to move ahead on improvements.

  • Business is good, but we still aren't making any money.

  • There are real challenges - from competitive factors, global economics, regulatory, or others.

  • Business is OK, but there is reason to be concerned about the future for the company.

  • We're making money, but sales growth is stalled.

  • We know that competition is moving in on us, but we don't know what to do.

So, one more time - give us a call to learn more about how PROACTION can field a cost-effective, high-ROI project to jump-start progress in these or other situations.

Thanks!
